Official Website™ — Jaxx Liberty Wallet™

Jaxx Liberty is a discontinued cryptocurrency wallet that is no longer safe to use. It was a legitimate multi-coin wallet developed by Decentral Inc., but it was retired on March 27, 2023, and its servers are permanently offline. Any website, app, or download claiming to be Jaxx Liberty today is a scam targeting former users .

### 📜 What Jaxx Liberty Was

Jaxx Liberty was the "2.0" version of the original Jaxx wallet, launched in 2018 by Decentral, a Toronto-based blockchain company founded by Anthony Di Iorio, a co-founder of Ethereum . It was designed as an all-in-one hub for managing digital assets, supporting over 80 cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, and Dogecoin .

The wallet offered a unified dashboard with market data, news feeds, a multi-chain block explorer, and portfolio tracking. It also integrated ShapeShift for in-app asset swaps, allowing users to exchange one cryptocurrency for another without leaving the interface . The Chrome extension version functioned similarly to MetaMask, enabling connections to Web3 applications .

### ⚠️ Why It Is No Longer Safe

Jaxx Liberty was retired in March 2023. The app no longer connects to any network, and Decentral has not released a successor wallet . The shutdown created a dangerous environment: former Jaxx users are now prime targets for phishing scams. Fake websites impersonating Jaxx Liberty have been flagged as crypto drainers designed to steal seed phrases and private keys .

If you still have Jaxx Liberty installed, do not use it. If you entered your seed phrase into any website or app claiming to be Jaxx after March 2023, assume that phrase is compromised and move any remaining funds to a newly generated wallet immediately .

### 🔄 What to Do Instead

If you need to recover funds from an old Jaxx wallet, you do not need the Jaxx app. Jaxx used standard BIP-39 seed phrases, so your 12-word recovery phrase can be imported into any actively maintained, BIP-39-compatible wallet such as Electrum, MetaMask, or Exodus . Never download "Jaxx" from any source, and never enter your seed phrase into a website.
